Deborah Yap, Pilates Instructor

Debbie originally hails from Singapore, where her love for fitness started at the young age of 10. Having played for her school's Netball team and representing her college's rock climbing team at regional competitions, her passion for fitness continued in Sydney back in 2018. Following a hip injury, she began her Pilates practice at the recommendation of her physiotherapist and experienced first-hand the benefits it had helped with her mobility and flexibility. Outside the Pilates studio, you can find her stitching hand embroidered, She believes doing mindful embroidery helps her to relax after a stressful day, and also gives her thinking space to think of creative ways for her next Pilates class through the mind and hand movement of the needle and thread.

Debbie has completed her Pilates Reformer teacher training at BodyMindLife, and loves how Pilates workouts are adaptable to many fitness levels. She finds joy in helping others achieve new goals, expect to feel the burn and have fun moving your body!

Her personal statement is to "Live the life you've imagined".

Calli Butler, Pilates Instructor

Calli started off life as an ice skater at the age of 6. She competed all over the UK until a knee injury at 14 stopped her from continuing the sport. This also put a stop to her fitness career and plans after she left school. Calli turned to childcare and has worked with all ages and abilities

Her life eventually took full circle and she got back into the fitness industry. “I myself have had fatigue and body soreness, daily since I was 20. After a very long journey I found a couple of people who helped me with my aches and pains and finally diagnosed me. I know how many people go through similar experiences or have both long and short term injuries like I too have had. I really wanted to give back and help as many people going through injuries/imbalances as I could. I qualified as a Personal Trainer. I felt that I needed more refined skills, so I turned to and trained in pilates and I haven’t looked back. If I can help just one person and give them skills to live a better life then I couldn’t really ask for more.”

Currently Calli is settling into her new life as a mum.
