experienced the birth of our second (most heaviest baby) child, Sebastien. I experienced excruciating hip and lower back pain throughout the pregnancy and afterwards too. I had a three finger separation in my abdominals, and thanks to our brilliant Physiotherapists I was able to tighten my abdominal muscles and become pain free again through one on one Pilates sessions. I couldn’t believe how helpful Pilates was, with just some small movements, through persistence, I was able to function normally and gain my pre baby strength back again. I was completely sold on the benefits of Pilates, but then I realised that my Physio’s were prescribing Pilates as a prevention and cure, but had to refer them outside of our practice for group classes, at that time we did not have the space. After much blood sweat and tears, we knocked down our back wall and were able to extend our practice to include a brand new reformer Pilates studio.


We are a passionate team of people carers, our aim is to show you how you can transform your body and your life through small dedicated movements, persistence and will power. We will listen carefully to know what your goals are, and work with you to make sure you achieve them. Our team consists of a mix of Pilates qualified instructors and Physiotherapists who have further study in Pilates. Either way, you’re in safe hands!

Pilates Classes

At Fine Form Physiotherapy, our Pilates classes are run by highly experienced instructors with a fully equipped Pilates studio inside our Top Ryde Physio clinic. Our small group classes are limited to a maximum of 5 students so that you can receive a highly tailored exercise routine and specialised attention to achieve your health goals.


Pilates classes are an effective and fun way to improve your strength, flexibility, balance, core strength and treat injuries. Pilates is suitable for all ages and fitness levels, and our instructors will provide personalised guidance to suit your individual strength and flexibility. Morning, evening and weekend classes are available. We’ll supply the equipment needed for the class, but we recommend that you bring a water bottle, a towel and non-slip socks. Mats and socks can also be purchased at reception.

Reformer Pilates (1hr) 

Utilising a combination of equipment (Reformer, Trapeze, Therabands, etc) and mat work, you will be exposed to a variety of exercises as part of a group training regime.

  • Suitable for individuals beginner to advanced.

  • Initial assessment needed. 

  • Is suitable for Clients with injuries or Pregnant Clients

Reformer Burn (1hr) 

Our High intensity Reformer Burn Class is a faster paced and dynamic way to feel the burn! This 1 hour workout will get you to challenge your balance, core and endurance to help you tone, lengthen, strengthen and improve coordination. Expect to sweat a little :)

  • Suitable for individuals beginner to advanced.

  • Initial assessment needed. 

  • Not suitable for Clients with injuries or Pregnant Clients

Pilates Prices

New students are welcome to try a FREE trial class! Reformer Pilates (non-Physio) classes cost:

  • $150 for a 5 pack of classes (60 mins, 6 week expiry)

  • $280 for a 10 pack of classes (60 mins, 3-month expiry)

  • $460 for a 20 pack of classes (60 mins, 3-month expiry)

    For Physio instructed classes where you can use your Private Health Fund, prices are listed below. Bookings for these classes can only be made via reception or over the phone.   

For your convenience, all other class bookings can be made online using the interactive class timetable below. Simply choose a date and time that suits you, click on ‘Book’ and follow the prompts to secure your place. Physio-Instructed Clinical Classes

We also offer Clinical Reformer classes that are instructed by Physiotherapists and these can be covered by Private Health Insurance (please check with your provider to confirm that your level of cover includes Pilates).

New students must attend an initial assessment with one of our Physiotherapists. During the assessment, we’ll evaluate current, past or potential injuries and determine your skill level so that you can get the best experience possible and reach your goals. The initial assessment is 15 minutes and costs $50 (the fee is waived if you purchase a class pack).

New students are welcome to try a FREE trial class! Physio-Instructed Clinical Reformer classes cost:

  • $400 for a 10 pack of classes (60 mins, 3-month expiry)

  • $760 for a 20 pack of classes (60 mins, 3-month expiry)

Private Pilates Classes

Would you like all the attention on you? Then you might like to consider a private one-on-one Pilates class. Private Pilates classes may be booked for groups of 1 to 5 students. Private class fees vary depending on the number of students in your group:

  • $90 per class for a 1 on 1 private class (45 mins)

  • $100 per class for 2 students ($50 each, 45 mins)

  • $120 for 3 students ($40 each, 60 mins)

  • $120-$150 for 4-5 students ($30 each, 60 mins).

What are the benefits of Pilates?

Pilates is a low impact form of therapeutic exercise that focuses on core stability, strength, flexibility, posture, balance and breathing. Clinical Pilates is often used in conjunction with physiotherapy as a means of treating and preventing a variety of injuries and conditions, particularly those of the neck and back.
